About Animal Rescue Connections

Animal Rescue Connections was founded by Jenny Burgess in 2004 and serves the San Antonio, Texas and surrounding areas. With a growing number of volunteers and the support of other rescue and shelter groups, we are making a difference in the lives of stray animals inhabiting our neighborhoods.

This non-profit organization exists because of the numbers of unwanted, forgotten animals on our streets and strives to provide education and charitable assistance on all aspects of animal rescue.

In 2004 the Spay-A-Stray project was launched to raise funds for spay/neuter surgeries of the stray and feral cats roaming our neighborhoods. The project is still in its infancy but has resulted in over 500 spay/neuter surgeries since its inception. With more volunteers, this number will grow!
